BBN Blaauwberg Pilot Project
Phase 1: Sep 2008 - Mar 2009
Testing the general acceptance of the BBN Initiative. During this period 100 business became BBN Go ProActive Members and over 1,000 members of the public enlisted as Community Action Partners while at the same time we rolled out our first Yes I Can - 5 Mountain Initiative at Elkanah House, High School.
Phase 2: Apr - Jun 2009
This edition of the BizFinder launches Phase 2 of the Blaauwberg Pilot Project. We will increase the momentum by enrolling many more BBN Go ProActive Business Members, Community Action Partners and Youth in the Yes I Can - 5 Mountain Programme as well as launch the following:
- Employ more BBN Business Liaison Executives.
- Operation Joe Slovo Park, Milnerton.
- Launch BBN Training Division.
- Train the Trainers.
- Operation GOOF - Grow Our Own Food.
- Partnership with Parents.
Phase 3: Jul - Dec 2009
Maintain the momentum of Phase 1 and 2 while rolling out the following:
- BBN Community Hub.
- Youth Entrepreneur Competition.
- SHEP Triple E Kidz Club – Age group 6 – 10.
- Operation Carbon Footprint.
- Operation Feed the Future.
- BBN Call Centre
- Community Resource Harnessing Database.
- Operation BBN Northern Suburbs.
Operation Feed the Future was brought forward to Phase 2 because of the urgency of rolling out this part of BBN’s initiative.
