The ABC Mountains of Life. Which one will You choose?

Young people have much to learn from seasoned and experienced businessmen and women. One of the lessons would be to choose the right mountain to begin climbing (right track to run on) as they make important decisions and begin their journey in life. The ABC Mountain Story explains the difference between the wrong mountains and the right mountain to follow/climb. MOUNTAIN "A" : Attractive but Aimless Mountain. Many are attracted to this mountain at a young age because it seems like fun and exciting but it is dangerously Addictive which can Ambush your future. Ultimately you will feel Alone and Abandoned and completely Adrift. In many cases it does lead to Annihilation. It is definitely the mountain not to be climbing or if you are on it to Abort ASAP because this mountain is an Allusion that has ruined the lives of many. Drug rehabilitation and alcoholic centres are full of people who began climbing this mountain which has destroyed their lives and many around them.

This mountain also applies to those who are simply going nowhere. They are good people but they have no ambition, no opinions and float through a purposeless life much like the one who buried the one talent the master gave him instead of doing the best that he could with what he was given!

MOUNTAIN "B" : Bountiful but Barren Mountain. Many materially successful people are on this mountain. It is about Accumulating wealth, possessions, achievements etc., often at any cost. People are trodden on and compromises are made to get up the ladder. Keeping up with Jones’s at all cost so being competitive is important for those on this mountain. And while there is nothing wrong with having many possessions, achievements etc., often there is a very important part of your life that remains barren.

God wants you to have a balanced life which must include spiritual well-being. The sad thing is that many arrive at the top of this mountain late in their lives before realising that they are on the wrong mountain. To get onto the right mountain could take years to go down this mountain (rethink one’s future), cross the valley (this entails a whole new learning curve) and then up the right mountain (applying a different core value system).

While this is a much better mountain than the ‘A’ Mountain, it is not the best mountain to begin climbing as you grow as a business entrepreneur.

MOUNTAIN "C" : Challenging but Correct Mountain. This mountain is about Commitment and Courage. It’s about being Creative not Competitive, about Community and Caring and having worthwhile Core Values and Ethics that will stand the test of time. It is Colourful, filled with years of Celebration of having made the right Choices. It is about Concern for our fellow man.

Climbing the ‘C’ Mountain will be the best decision you will ever make in your life and the wonderful thing is that as you begin climbing this mountain you will find many good Companions that will Cheer you on to final Completion of a truly great life. Learn from experienced businessmen and women and you will become well prepared to climb this mountain and quickly become a community role-model and business leader that blesses many while being blessed in every area of your life including that of material wealth.
