Learner Intervention Programme
Our concern is the low level of entrepreneur development that impacts SA’s job creation ability. Our focus is therefore on encouraging many more to become job creators instead of job seekers. We have made a solid start with Grade 10 Learners, at one of our poorest schools where the level of self esteem is low and where the future is seen as one without hope. This also makes them vulnerable to negative peer pressure and the risks this entails.
The BBN Yes I Can – 5 Mountain Entrepreneur Development Programme has been designed as a practical intervention programme that helps them, in practical ways, that raises their self esteem and then goes on to equip them for successful self-employment, after their education. Our involvement with the school is a permanent one that grows the learner’s commitment and their resolve as they work their way through the various growth stages of the programme.
The programme is the result of experience gained over the years and it fulfils the minimum we believe to be necessary, for large and sustained success, when engaging our youth.
