A businessman or woman who agrees:
- That unemployment and poverty are two major contributions towards crime and need to be addressed by the community as a whole.
- That as a community we need to take responsibility for crime or at the very least make a positive contribution towards doing something about it.
- That business can and should be playing a leadership role in the area of employment creation and should be using their entrepreneurial, planning and organising skills to contribute towards addressing this challenge.
- That we need to guide our youth to make the right choices and grow as people of value.
- That we need to build bridges of goodwill, understanding and support from the business community to all stakeholders in ways that encourages all to become part of the solution.
- That we need to build bridges that ensures that those with limited resources are given the opportunity towards improving their circumstances and achieve their dreams.
- That we must inspire many more of our people, young and old, to become job creators and then guide them towards business success.
- That the BBN 5-3-1 Community Success Plan represents an important start towards business leading the community in the important challenge of job creation.
- That the time for action is NOW, not next year or sometime in the future. We need to take action TODAY!
- That we should take on the GEM Report and reverse its negative finding in respect of South Africa being a country of people lacking entrepreneur self-confidence.
