A businessman or woman who agrees:

1. That unemployment and poverty are two major contributions towards crime and need to be addressed by the community as a whole.
   
2. That as a community we need to take responsibility for crime or at the very least make a positive contribution towards doing something about it.
   
   
3. That business can and should be playing a leadership role in the area of employment creation and should be using their entrepreneurial, planning and organising skills to contribute towards addressing this challenge.
   
   
4. That we need to guide our youth to make the right choices and grow as people of value.
   
   
5. That we need to build bridges of goodwill, understanding and support from the business community to all stakeholders in ways that encourages all to become part of the solution.
   
   
6. That we need to build bridges that ensures that those with limited resources are given the opportunity towards improving their circumstances and achieve their dreams.
   
   
7. That we must inspire many more of our people, young and old, to become job creators and then guide them towards business success.
   
   
8. That the BBN 5-3-1 Community Success Plan represents an important start towards business leading the community in the important challenge of job creation.
   
   
9. That the time for action is NOW, not next year or sometime in the future. We need to take action TODAY!
   
   
10. That we should take on the GEM Report and reverse its negative finding in respect of South Africa being a country of people lacking entrepreneur self-confidence.
    
11. That being proactive is the way to grow their business.
